Painting by Robert McGinnisLast night I had the pleasure of shooting for local, burgeoning designer Nicole Larson. She showed her work alongside the top designers in the Twin Cities at the Little Black Dress Show 2011. Part of MNfashion week, the evening of "cocktails and couture" was hosted at Job Oulman's brand new St. Paul venue, the Amsterdam Bar and Hall.
The design artists were asked to create one unique little black dress and one other look of their choosing to unveil on the runway.
Celebrated designers included Max Lohrbach, Maritza Ramirez, Danielle Everine, Ivan Idland, Raul Osorio, Sarah Holm, Amanda Christine, George Moskal, Laura Fulk, Jenny Carle, Emma Berg, Jenn Bratvold and Nicole Larson.
The following images are a highlight of all of the designs from the evening. Enjoy! -PK

This year is going to be a transformation for myself, professionally and personally. I have completly rethought what I am bringing to this business and I am starting new. Starting with a new website layout. I was sick of not having a dedicated blog on my website and having to use an outside source. So now I switched to Squarespace for all my hosting needs.

I have imported all my past blog posts into the new website so that information will remain, although the upcoming stuff will be much more defined and helpful in my opinion.

Black American women look beautiful wearing those black dresses. Their characteristics like being slim and long-legged were big factors to consider why they were chosen by the designers to present the black dresses!
